Helper Imanage different customers
HI
I have ten customers who would like to use the same Power BI report. Each customer has its own sql database. What is the best way to create reports? Is it necessary to create ten copies of the report and change the database name in the connection string? Is there a different way?
Another question: Is there an automatic procedure for publishing reports in the ten target areas?

There are two methods:
1. Export the report to pbit file, then open the pbit file in Power BI desktop, enter a different server name and database name to crate a new report with different data. Repeat this step with other different SQL server instance. See: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/fr-fr/blog/deep-dive-into-query-parameters-and-power-bi-templates/
2. Create a report in Power BI desktop to retrieve data from all SQL server instances. Then create RLS roles to filter data for different accessed users. See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls
To publish the report to Power BI service desired workspace, instead of using Publish button in Power BI desktop, you can also call Imports - Post Import In Group API.
