Hello everybody,
I am reading a book called mastering microsoft Pwore BI 2nd, written in 2021, it says that Power BI admin role is configured in Azure portal. here is the screenshot.
Is this information outdated? It seems that there is no longer Power BI admin role, it is now called Fabric Admin role and it is now configured in M365 portal, not Azure portal.
Is my understanding correct?

yes, you are correct. Power BI is now a sub set of Fabric; so Fabric is the new name
Hi @BenBlackswan ,
Thanks for NandanHegde‘s nice reply.
Starting June 2023, the Power BI Administrator role was renamed to Fabric Administrator to align with the changing scope and responsibility of this role. All applications including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Graph APIs, Microsoft 365, and GDAP started to reflect the new role name gradually.
The Fabric Administrator role is now configured in the Microsoft 365 admin portal, not the Azure portal.
To assign users to an admin role in the Microsoft 365 admin portal, you select Users > Active Users, select the user that you want to assign the role to, under Roles, select Manage roles, expand Show all by category, then select Fabric administrator or Power Platform administrator.
