hello
is there a possibility to specify the perspective in the connection string while connecting to semantic model that was deployed to powerbi workspace?
i found this docs
when i connect i go via Get Data -> More -> Azure -> Azure Analysis Services database
then in the popup i enter the connection link into server and the model name into the database
after that a popup comes up where i can select on the screen the perspective to which i want to connect
however id like to enter perspective into the connection string either in the server box or database box
is this possible?

Hi,
The perspectives are only working with Analysis Servives connexion, not with Power BI Semantic Model connexion.
The perspective can help users to understand complex model (multiple star schemas).
There's an idea to add a combo box selector in Power BI Desktop "Data": Please vote

You can create perspectives on Semantic Models via Tabular Editor.
The OP question was how to select a perspective in the connection.

Once you connected, have a look at the Connections dialog, see if anywhere in the stored connection string is there any mention of the perspective you chose.
