Until the product is GA, shared dashboards are read only. After June 24, team collaboration will be supported.

Is team collaboration now supported? I can't find a way to give edit rights of my dashboard to others.

@plai Sounds like you want to use the "Groups" functionality for team collaboration. All members of the group can modify objects owned by the group. Here is the support page on how to create.

If you just want someone to be able to have their own version of a report/dashboard - look into Organizational Content Packs here.

Assuming you are ADMIN for your PowerBI setup and they are within your Organisation email domin, need to sign up for  Power BI to see specified dashboard.

To share the dashboard all you need to do is find the option: 'Share Dashboard' on top right corner of that dashboard which presents you the options to share the same, all that required is their email address. Further to that you can also allow those users share the same dashboard, you need to allow your coworkers to reshare your dashboard with others, check Allow recipients to share your dashboard(the checkbox is in the lower-right corner).

From the Knowledgebase it is worth to refer about:

When you share with your colleagues:

  • They can see your dashboard and interact with your reports in  Presentation View. They can't create new reports or save changes to existing reports.
  • They can even see the changes you make (after you save those changes).
  • They can't see or download the dataset or use any of the data refresh operations.
  • They see this icon  next to the shared dashboard, indicating the dashboard is shared with them.
