Dear,
I have a basic query.
How does Power BI authenticates my company user credentials? I dont think our company active directory server is not hosted in cloud.
so when I login how power BI is able to connct to company active directory and check the crednetial of mine?
Br,
Shamsuddeen
@shamsuddeenvp Your company will need to connect your on premises AD to Azure AD. There are multiple ways to do this, and I am not an extremely familiar with that aspect of things, but this should give you an idea of what you need to do.
Thanks @Anonymous
I am able to login to power BI with my company credntial. However I am bit worried about the security aspects.
I will have to check with admin team whether we are using Azure active directory connect to integrate.
Br,
Shamsuddeen
@shamsuddeenvp hmmm. Take a look at this video from Adam Saxton about Azure AD and your Org. If you are using Power BI currently, you have a tenant for your company, and Azure AD... now it's a matter of whether or not you join AAD to your on premises AD.
