how is this happened? refresh error

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please check these things below:

  1. Upgrade the On-premise Gateway to the newest version.
  2. Open the gateway to check status. We need to sign in the gateway.
  3. In the Network pane, we can see the local network status.
  4. We can restart gateway in the Service Settings.

If the error still exists,please try the following steps:

It seems that you need to restart the gateway. 

1. Input "services.msc" in the search box. (or use Win + r in keyboard)

2. Restart the service as showed in the picture or start it if it stopped.

3. If step 1 and 2 failed, restart the computer and then check the status of the service.

4. There is an official trouble shooting document, you can reference: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/powerbi-gateway-onprem-tshoot/ 

5. Last try: uninstall gateway -> restart computer -> install the newest version. (Please consider the down time if it's a production machine.)

 

After all, upgrading to the latest version  is recommended.
