I have a Power BI free trial account with some days remaining. My account is the admin account. I've published my dashboard and reports to Power BI service, to both My Workspace and another workspace, and now I want to make it available to view online to any one with the link without having to log in. From either workspace, after I select the option to File><> Embed report>Publish to web (public), it shows the message "Contact your admin to enable embed code creation". The instructions (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-publish-to-web#enable-publish-t...) for the admin to enable embed code creation say to elect Tenant settings, but I don't see that option. Is it possible to publish to web with the free Power BI account? If so, please provide the steps to do this. If something is published to the web, is it still accessible after the Power BI trial ends?
Instructions:
Sign in to the Power BI admin portal.
In the admin portal, select Tenant settings. (THIS IS NOT SEEN)
Under Export and sharing settings, locate Publish to web.
Toggle the setting to Enabled.
Choose who can create embed codes:
Select Apply.

Here is a screenshot of where an admin can enable "Publish to Web". If you are not seeing these options, then you don't have the Fabric Administrator role.
Hi @apdave11 , Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
In Power BI, the Publish to web feature is controlled by a tenant setting and that setting is only visible to users who have a Fabric Admin / Power BI Service Admin / Global Admin role. Being the only user on a free trial doesn’t automatically give you that level of access.
The reason you don’t see Tenant settings in the Admin portal is because your account doesn’t have one of those admin roles or your trial tenant was created in a way that restricts full admin control. That’s why you’re getting the Contact your admin message, Power BI is expecting a tenant admin to enable the feature, but your account doesn’t currently have that authority.
Check whether you have access to the Microsoft 365 or Entra admin centers (admin.microsoft.com or entra.microsoft.com) and see if you can assign yourself a Global Admin or Fabric Admin role. If you can’t access those portals or assign roles, then your current setup is limited and you won’t be able to enable Publish to web from this environment.
If you do get it enabled and publish a report, the public link will usually keep working even after the trial ends, as long as the report isn’t deleted and the tenant setting isn’t turned off later.
Thanks @v-hashadapu, @djurecic, and @collinq! I was able to log into one of the admin centers and then followed the steps to verify ownership of the domain name by adding a TXT record to the domain host. Doing this made me an admin and then I was able to go into Power BI Service and see "Tenant settings" in the admin portal there. I toggled the setting in "Publish to web". I was able to go back into the report and do "Publish to web".

Hi @apdave11 ,
As @collinq said, you need to have the Fabric Administrator role in order to turn on this option. Here is some more information: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/admin/microsoft-fabric-admin
Hi @djurecic. How can I get the Fabric Administrator role given that I'm the sole user for the organization? There are no other users or admins.
Hi @apdave11 ,
WIth the free license you can only use MY WORKSPACE. So, you can publish to web from there. But, there is no Admin capability on a free license so you can't select everything that you are looking for (or even see it). As for will things outlast your trail - yes IF nobody removes your "My Workspace" or deletes the embed code or makes changes in Tenant Admin that would remove it. The best way would be to get yourself a non-trial license (whether PRO or PPU).
When you see the message to "contact your admin" that is probably because this is turned off right now and the admin of the tenant needs to turn it on for the tenant and or for your security group.
Also, remember that if you embed something to internet then literally anybody in the world can see that data so don't forget about security!

Below is the screenshot in my admin portal. There is no "Tenant settings" option seen.
Hi @collinq, please provide the steps and screenshots for "admin of the tenant needs to turn it on for the tenant and or for your security group." I don't see "Tenant settings" in the admin portal to turn on the ability to publish to web. I am the only user under the same email domain with a free trial account.
