getting blank screen while creating subscription to onedrive
- 2 months ago
Hi krissrikanth,
This looks less like a report issue and more like the OneDrive/SharePoint picker or authentication step is not loading correctly inside the Power BI subscription dialog.
Since you already tried different browsers, InPrivate/Incognito, and clearing cache, I would also check:
- Allow third-party cookies temporarily.
- Set browser tracking prevention to Balanced, not Strict.
- Disable ad-block/privacy extensions for Power BI, OneDrive, and SharePoint sites.
- Make sure pop-ups are allowed for app.powerbi.com.
- Confirm you can open OneDrive in the same browser session with the same account.
Also check the feature requirements and limitations. Microsoft documents that OneDrive/SharePoint report subscriptions require the workspace to be backed by Premium capacity or equivalent Fabric capacity, tenant subscriptions enabled, and Contributor or higher permissions to the workspace. It also notes limitations such as B2B guest users and PPU-only accounts not being able to choose OneDrive/SharePoint.
Documentation:
Send large report subscriptions to OneDrive or SharePointIf all requirements are met and the picker still opens as a blank page, I would raise a Microsoft support ticket. Include:
- Browser and version
- Tenant/workspace region
- Report/workspace details
- Exact timestamp
- Screenshot
- F12 browser console/network errors if available
Given that multiple users are reporting the same OneDrive subscription blank page recently, this may be a service-side issue rather than something specific to your report.
