gateway on Azure sql Data warhouse
hi everyone!
i have a question please -
i don't know exatcly how the gateway works. when do i need to install it? on the server? on my computer where i create the power bi reports on desktop?
i created new reports with azure sql data warehouse, i published the reports and i got message that publish was successfule due to enterprise gateway. i didn't install any gateway.. so how is that? maybe somene installed on the server? i don't think so..

In Power BI Service, there are two kinds of gateway: On-Premises gateway and Personal gateway. And requirements are different based on gateway types, I would suggest you take a look at those two articles:
Besides, if we get data from the Azure SQL Data Warehouse and create a report in Power BI Desktop, then publish the report to Power BI Service, we needn't require any gateway to refresh data from Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
