email with 2 dots rejected

Thanks v-kathullac and Akash_Varuna for the suggested solution.

The situation is complicated by the fact that the email belongs to a user in an external organisation where they clearly have made the [email protected] work for their organisation. So we cannot remove the '.role' element of the email address. Could Azure active directory see the email in the format above and remediate it to something Power BI could accept eg [email protected]?
