dataset doesn't update

hi all,

i created a report with pbi desktop, connecting live to ssas cube with enterpeise gateway.

i published the dashboard to people and there was no problem to see data.

i added new measure to cube, refreshed the pbi desktop file and i was enable to see new measure on desktop.

in pbi service i wasn't able to see the new measure, after refreshing also. the only thing i suspect is written the gateway is offline, what does it mean?

after this problem that i wasnt ablt to see the new measure, i published the report again, created dashboard and everything was fine. when sharing the new dashboard my people don't see the new measure : icon with error and unexpected error.

is someone have an idea??? i just added new measure and for some reason thhey can't see it...

Hi @MP_123,

Based on my test, if the Enterprise gateway is online, the data source connects to SSAS is always update. When we click the Refresh button, the new measure will display. In your scenario, please try to click this button to see if issue persists.

@MP_123 Gateway offline means powerbi.com is unable to connect to your on-prem datasource. You should ensure enterprise gateway is installed on server which will not fall to sleep mode and will always be on.

i'm connecting to ssas in live connection with gateway enterprise.

i have added new measure to cube, i see it on the desktop file but not on the service (i refreshed the data set)

why is that? the gateway doesnt mean its always updated?

There are times that my new measures show up fairly quickly and others that I have to refresh my browser before they will appear. Try hitting F5 and see if that helps. I have also, in the past, had to refresh a couple of times before new measures pulled in. that just happened today. I had to refresh 3 times before refreshing the browser worked.
