Hi, can someone help us with more knowledge regarding the data storage? we are new to power BI and we would like to know why the pro license says we have 1 GB of max size of individual data set but when we go to our workspace it states we still have 10 GB of storage, this is for our surveys integrated with power bi, isn’t the data stored in the survey monkey [platform already? who does it means the 1g and the 10 g? which one is accurate? if you have experience with survey monkey and power bi integrations please let us know, thanks!

Hi @lalfaroa107
The 1 GB data size limitation is for each dataset, and the 10 GB limitation is for a workspace. Workspaces are places to collaborate with colleagues to create collections of dashboards, reports, datasets, and paginated reports. So the 10 GB is the workspace storage size for holding these resources. You can have multiple datasets in a workspace.

I don't have experience with Survey Monkey. I found a video about SurveyMonkey's Microsoft Power BI Integration that may be helpful. It seems when you use this integration, it will import Survey Monkey data into Power BI, so the 1 GB dataset limit will probably work on it. You can remove unnecessary data with Power Query Editor to reduce the data size in a model.

Additionally, I found another SurveyMonkey Power BI connector which seems support DirectQuery. With DirectQuery rather than Import, the data will not be imported into Power BI. When you create the report and interact with the report, it will always query data from SurveyMonkey service.
As they are both provided by third-party services, you can also seek more detailed information and support from their websites.
