data source not able to connect

hello,

I need a little guidance,

i am trying to add a data source (SQL Server) to a newly installed gateway and I keep getting this error

error.JPG

I have searched in this community and online and most solutions are usually to update the gateway. but in my case, the gateway is up to date since it was downloaded today.

please how do I solve this?

Hi @Anonymous,

What exactly do the details say if you click on Show details?

If it's an Azure SQL DB, you might have to open the firewall for the IP-address (or range) of the gateway server to reach that DB. Otherwise it might be bad credentials, but that's hard to guess from this point.
