Hi Abi. Can you share more info about the issue? like the error message or if there is any kind of validation for the API or if it's a public API that doesn't need a key.
That might help us help you,

Hi ibarrau, Thanks for your response.
I'm using a rest api link, to get the data from the link i need to pass authorization token and time stamp(the token and timestamp valid only for 5 minute).
i'm able to pull the data in powerbi desktop and also able to refresh the report but in powerbi services i'm getting
Data source error the credentials provided for the web source are invalid.
even after providing the necessary credentials.
There is something that doesn't match. Let's recap.
You have a connection to a RestAPI with Power Bi Desktop that has an authentication inside the code because you are saying you are specifing Anonymous Credentials for the source permission.
Then you are talking about Power Bi Service with an error message of data source credentials and specifing that you are providing those like using a different source permission rather than Anonymous like with desktop.
Be sure that you are doing the exact same thing with both of them. The error message is clear, the credentials provided can't connect the source.
I hope that helps,
Happy to help!
I am using anonymous login and public privacy level in PowerBi Desktop and also same thing in PowerBi service, But in service its not working.
