Solved

copy as image

Hi team,

I hope you are well.

I face the following two issues.

I copy and paste a table in Microsoft teams. The issue is that it does not bring the table. Please see below.

Additionally, sometimes the Microsoft teams says that "you ll need to shorten your message to send it"

However, I do not have the above issues when I paste them into my outlook email.

Could you please help me with it?

Thanks,

Christos

    Hi, CK1992

After my testing, the reason for this problem is that when we use the copy >> image as caption feature, there is a link behind the image that causes the maximum number of characters to be exceeded in the Microsoft Teams chat input box.

At this point, put it into word and check the copied content:

Hovering over the image, you will find a link with a total number of characters that exceeds the number of characters that Microsoft Teams dialog can support, which is why the above error occurs.

You can send it by clearing the links behind the picture, then pressing CTRL + C to copy them and send them to the Microsoft Teams chat box.

    Click remove Link

    Here are the results:

In addition, the following article also mentions the current cause of this error and the upper limit of characters:

    Hi, CK1992

Can you describe your operation? In my tests, copy table as image works in Power BI Service, and it works fine in the chat box on Microsoft Teams, here are my steps:

You may need to clear the cache of your current Power BI Service website by following these steps:

Press the F12 key on your keyboard and select Application in developer mode:

      Hi,

      Thanks for your reply.

There is no specific operation. I am trying to copy and paste an image on Microsoft teams and it does not bring the graph. However, if I paste it on a word document, it works fine.

I can not understand the reason behind this.

Do you have any other suggestion? I cleared the cache but still the same issue.

Thanks a lot for your reply 🙂
