consuming Dataflow stored in Azure Datalake Storage from a Datamart .. unauthorized error message

Hi all

As described in powerbi - Consuming dataflows from a datamart - Stack Overflow

By consuming a Dataflow from a datamart, I 'll get the error "The remoter server returned an error (401) unauthorized" if this dataflow has been stored in my azure datalake

Same test but with the same Dataflow stored in powerBi cloud service: it works

is is a bug or did I miss sthing ?

Hi @olivier_esmieu2 ,

There are some limitaions and considerations of datamart:

When using datamarts with named connections, the following limitations apply:

1.You can only create one cloud connection of a particular path and type, for example, you could only create one SQL plus server/database cloud connection. You can create multiple gateway connections.

2.You cannot name or rename cloud data sources; you can name or rename gateway connections.

And Attaching a dataflow with ADLS Gen 2 behind multifactor authentication (MFA) is not supported in the datalake.

For more information, you can refer these documentations:

Hope this helps you.

Thks @v-yinliw-msft , . However, I don't see your point 🙂

Hi @Anonymous ,

If you use the datamart with named connections, you can only connect the cloud datasource, here.

So when the dataflow stored in the cloud service, it works, but another not.

Hope this helps you.
