apps vs report
do apps provides interactivity features same as report provides. example slicers, sorting, drill down etc. are there any features which apps do not provide in comparison with report?
Publish to APP functionality offer same feature as accessing directly from workspace with better security measures

I think apps works on all the features that you are looking for. I think app has all the major features that are there in the reports in terms of sharing or visualization. Apart from arvindsingh802 suggestion you can also refer these links.
