Hi, all of a sudden we got this error on a report that was running fine in my peer's workspace. The only possible explanation we can think of is that the problem is somehow related to some jockeying he did on another report's dataset/semantic model yesterday to get it to point to our new server. We dont even understand the implications. Reports in other workspaces seem to be ok. should i think about moving (copying) that report to a workspace that isnt currently having a problem? i think i see how to copy a report to another ws but i dont see how to copy the semantic model there also, so i would just get the same error anyway. As far as we know, our licences are strictly pro right now. and from what i can see the refresh failed last time it was attempted.
Hi @db042190
Based on the screenshot information you provided, it appears that the issue you are experiencing may be related to license permissions.
The screenshot mentions "can only be loaded on a premium capacity", which could mean that the reports or datasets are allocated to Premium capacity, so they can only be loaded and viewed in Premium capacity.
If the workspace is not allocated to Premium capacity, or the user does not have access to Premium capacity, they will not be able to load the reports.
Even if you are using a pro license, you need a Premium license to view content published to Premium capacity.
To resolve this issue, you may need to check and verify that the workspace is allocated to Premium capacity and that you have the appropriate access permissions.

thx nono, but the day before we didnt need premium. so the posted question asks what would change to make that workspace all of a sudden require premium?
Hi @db042190
If your workspace was previously accessible without a Premium license, here are some possible reasons for the change:
The workspace may have been reallocated to Premium capacity.
The organization's license agreement or the way Power BI licenses are managed within the organization may have changed.
Workspace settings may have been changed, affecting access rights.
You should check the workspace settings in the Power BI Management Portal to ensure that it is assigned to the correct capacity.
If you are an administrator, you can also verify if there have been any recent license changes or workspace assignments.

thx nono, what does this mean "The workspace may have been reallocated to Premium capacity."? is that reallocated by a person? or some threshhold perhaps that was hit and it was automatically allocated by an MS rule? If it was allocated like you say why would we be getting an error that basically says it needs to be allocated to premium? At the moment it is still set to pro. And i dont really understand when you say "You should check the workspace settings in the Power BI Management Portal to ensure that it is assigned to the correct capacity". It was fine before and is currently using no more storage than the previous day when it was fine.
we looked around a little. i dont believe i need the portal to see this ws's license is pro. we can see that from the service. we dont even see a way from the portal to see the license unless you are talking about the reassign ws button and we can see what we thought all along in there, pro is assigned. also, we looked at storage and we see not even 1 gig being used across all datasets. we know of no license changes. we dont believe access rights have anything to do with suddenly getting premium errors.
