The Zoom slider is not working anymore. It does on Desktop but not online. I recorded a screen video. Anyone an idea?
@v-denglli-msft where can we find updates on this please?
This article is nearly 2 months old now and I can't see any updates on it: Known issue - Line chart value-axis zoom sliders don't work with markers enabled - Microsoft Fabric ...
@v-denglli-msft Fabric and Microsoft Team: Why are you not monitoring this or providing updates? Did you decide this issue is not worth or efforts?
When will this be fixed? Why isn't there any update, rollback, anything?
For me it's completely not clear while this issue is not adressed and there is absolutely no communication at all.
We are a corporation with hundreds of employees, hundreds of charts. This situation is not acceptable and completely emberassing.
I therefore ask you:
- When will this issue be fixed and what can be communicated to our teams?
@v-denglli-msft I'm in total agreement with mathiasrh here. My division operates about 200 facilites with an average of 50 trended measures each - that's over 10,000 trend charts that were broken by this change, just for the primary site performance reports. There will be outliers in that many charts over the report period (28 days or ~8,000 points per chart series). Removing markers and drawing connecting lines is not an option for reviewing this sort of data, as each chart is densely populated with data and we want to see the individual markers, not the lines. The control is not a zoom slider if you can't actually use it to zoom in on a desired range of data. Whatever caused this feature to break, you should roll it back to how it was until you find a solution that accomplishes whatever you were trying to do without breaking the zoom slider. This problem is impacting people who support operations at each of these 200 facilities, and for many of these facilities there is more than one impacted report.
I'm still waiting on this as well. Maybe Santa will deliver it for Christmas.
Also, does anyone else find the forum post order here confusing? The OP reply from 8 hours ago appears to be the most recent prior to this one, and when I looked it was marked message 14 of 18. A msft support post from 12/11 is marked message 18 of 18. Why aren't the posts in chrono (or reverse chrono) order? They aren't even in numerical (or reverse numerical) order. If there is a way to sort them in any of these ways, I can't find it.
Hi @mathiasrh ,
We're still working on it. Thanks for your understanding and patience. I'll post here if there are any updates.
I am also still facing issue, when would it resolve?
Thanks for the reply from rajendraongole1, please allow me to provide another insight.
Hi @mathiasrh ,
In my testing, I found that the same problem as yours when the Markers are set.
Disable the Markers and the zoom slider will work fine.

Dengliang Li

Thank you for your reply. To me this looks clearly like a bug. How can this be reported and fixed?
Hi @mathiasrh ,
This issue has been submitted internally. Please be patient to wait for fixing. If there is any news, I will update it here.

I am facing the same issue
We have the same problem with all of our reports. We have many charts with a high density of points, so we want to see just the markers, not a bunch of connecting lines - and we frequently want to zoom in to exclude outlier values.
It doesn't look like there has been any progress on fixing this in over 2 weeks, and it wasn't a problem previously. Is there an ETA for the correction or rollback? Last week the answer was "soon", but that isn't a satisfyingly precise estimate.
When will this be fixed? It's a kind of major bug. All my reports and charts are affected. So what can be done?
Hi @mathiasrh ,
This issue will be fixed soon.
All that can be done at this time is to remove the configuration that is causing this issue. (Disable markers)
Thank you for your understanding.
Best Regards,
Dengliang Li

You told as a month ago that the issue will be fixed soon. Since then: No fix, no feedback, nothing.
Can you please update us here. Or even better: Release the fix? I doubt it can be so hard.
Any update here? For me it's completely not clear why this issue isn't resolved?
Yes, I know the workararound. No, I don't want to adjust dozens of charts in multiple reports and then readjust them.
I think it's not much to ask that a major bug like this is fixed correctly. You mentioned weeks ago that it will be fixed soon.
I have the very same issue. It just workef fine before novembre 2024.
I read it's a confirmed bug. I also tested disabling markers. It worked. OF COURSE, this is not the solution, just a temporary workaround. PLEASE MSFT, fix this feature SOON.
True, its taking alot time to resolve bug, which was working fine before.
@v-denglli-msft : any update here? Its been more than a month, this issue still exist.
we also face similar situation, please fix it asap
