You cannot subscribe free users or groups from a Non Premium workspace - Distribution List?

Hi folks,

I've seen other posts on this but not my specific scenario.  I'm wondering if it is possible to add distribution lists to report subscriptions IF you are NOT in premium capacity.  We are not Premium and I'm getting this message when attempting to add a distribution list on a report subscription.  I have verified that the three users in my DL have Pro licenses and have already signed into Power BI previously.

If I read the doc:  "If the report or dashboard is hosted in Premium capacity, you can subscribe other individual email addresses and group aliases. If the report or dashboard isn't hosted in Premium capacity, you can subscribe other individuals, but they too must have Power BI Pro licenses" they refernece "other individuals".  Based off what I'm experiencing I suspect that means distribution lists are not supported.

Hi @Anonymous, 

Yes, if the report/dashboard doesn't exist in a Premium capacity assigned workspace, we can only use individual email address for the subscription, group alias is not supported.
