Write Back in Power BI using Power Apps with a snowflake data source

hi All,

I want my users to edit one column in a table present in my dashboard. This table has 20+ cols and I want just 1 column to be edited by the users. All the visuals in this dashboard are coming from a snowflake table.

I tried setting up a Power App but I am not able to set that snowflake table as a data source. All the content avaliable online does this using excel as a data source. Any help on directing me to right content will be great!

Couple more questions:

1) Do you know if writing back to a snowflake table would even be possible?

2) Is setting up a Power App the only way to achieve our goal?

Thanks for all the help!

2. At the moment that is your only free option. There are paid options like Inforiver that offer data writeback. (I am not endorsing them)

1. Any Direct Query data source will do in Power BI.  The "only"  limitation is that it needs to be writeable in PowerApps which also will require a PowerApps Premium license.

One (rather unsatisfactory) alternative is to use a SharePoint list for your data storage.  While that is free (doesn't require a PowerApps Premium license) it is very clumsy and results in bad UX.
