Hi Community,
i've a problem with some Report Distrubition:
In a Worksapace i've 4 Report and i created an APP that contains 4 Report.
Is it possible to hide one of this 4 report in the APP for a determinate user?
Or i have to create 4 workspaces and 4 app?
I don't found any section to insert permission on report APP visibility.
Thanks for looking into this.
Filippo
How would RLS prevent someone from seeing a report? It might hide all of the data in a report, but that is a poor user experience. You just get a bunch of empty visuals.

If you don't mind them seeing that there is a report, but they don't have access, then adding RLS should work for you.
Just add a role to the sensitive report that you wanted to hide, add everyone else to the role in the service except for that one user and when they select that report it will tell them they do not have permission.
Might be a solution..
Cheers
Oliver

Hi @Fievel25
it seems impossible to hide one of this 4 report in the APP for a determinate user. but you can share report to particulate group or create an APP containing 4 RLS report.
1. if you want to share particular report to particular Group
2. if you want to use RLS

If I understand what you want to do correctly, only give your Users permission to the App where you want them to see all the reports. For Users you want to restrict to certain reports, use the "Share Report" feature. Make sure to turn off the allow users to share reports check mark.
You are correct. You cannot customize apps on a per user basis today. In 2022 there will be a preview of multiple apps in a single workspace, but today, if you need 4 versions of the app, you'll need to create 3 additional workspaces, create live connections to the source reports (no need to duplicate the datasets, refreshing, etc) and publish 3 additional apps.
