Workspace Edit versus view permission
Hi alexSPY,
The edit permission is to edit the content(dashboards/reports) within the workspace, not the Apps.
An app cannot be edited directly. In order to update a published app, we need to go to edit the related content(dashboards/reports) within the workspace first, then republish the app. :smileyhappy:

v-ljerr-msft thank you very much for the reply! Unfortunately, this only confuses me even more. I'll provide screenshots here to explain my confusion.
As you can see here, I have workspaces set up:
Workspaces Examples
When I go to "Edit Workspace", and edit the privacy settings though, I see no change in the user experience between "members can edit" and "members can only view". For example, this workspace app is set to the "members can edit" permission, but as you can see, the "edit" is still grayed out:
User "edit" permission
I appreciate any further clarification!
