Will Power BI Service automatically switch to next best data gateway?

We have a lot of personal mode gateways that need to be cleaned up. I'm not exactly sure how they came to be in the first place. The official gateways based on our organizationa cluster have already been created as a proper alternative to the personal ones. I'm a workspace and gateway admin. When I delete the personal mode gateways, will service automatically try to find an alternative to those by looking at what already exists that connect to the same servers and databases? Or would I have to go into the settings of each semantic model and make the switch manually?
