We are working on a project with PowerBI, in which we have a series of Data Flows that update the metadata every hour.
In our activity report, it appears that GenerateDataFlowSasToken has 58,201 registered activities out of a total of 59,444.
We are concerned that this amount of logged activity is unusual.
We have been searching information about what GenerateDataFlowSasToken's function is in order to solve our question but we cannot find any data.
The only page we found referring to it, is this one and it does not offer any information about its function:
https://docs.microsoft.com/es-es/power-bi/admin/service-admin-auditing.
Do you know any explanation about the high activity log? What is the function of GenerateDataFlowSasToken?
We have the same problem and, no, it's not related to the data flow refreshing at high volumes. We have about 30 dataflows and they refresh once per day. The time stamps start around 2AM when there's no refreshes or users viewing reports. So that rules out any queries relating too Direct Query usage too.
Hi @BImartinez ,
Could you tell me if your problem has been solved? If it is, kindly Accept it as the solution. More people will benefit from it.

Hi @BImartinez ,
I think this is may caused by the dataflow refreshing at high frequencies.
