Why is QuickB00ks Multi User Mode working, and how can I troubleshoot and resolve the issue?

I'm having trouble with QuickB00ks Multi User Mode. When multiple users try to access the company file simultaneously, it either doesn't load or displays an error message. How can I resolve this issue?

To troubleshoot QuickB00ks Multi User Mode working issues:

  • Check Hosting Settings: Ensure only the server is hosting the company file. Go to "File" > "Utilities" and confirm "Host Multi-User Access" is active only on the server.
  • Verify Network Connection: Ensure all computers are on the same network and can communicate with each other.
  • Configure Firewall Settings: Add QuickB00ks ports (8019, 56728, 55378-55382) to your firewall and antivirus exceptions.
  • Use QuickB00ks Database Server Manager: Open QuickB00ks Database Server Manager and rescan the company file folder. This ensures network data files are correctly set.
  • Check Folder Permissions: Ensure the folder where the company file is stored has full control permissions for all users.
  • Update QuickB00ks: Make sure all installations of QuickB00ks are updated to the latest release.

Following these steps should help resolve most QuickB00ks Multi User Mode working issues. If the problem persists, consider consulting QuickB00ks support for more in-depth troubleshooting.
