Why i need gateway for cloud datawarhouse?

why i need gatway to connect to cloud datawarehouse, we have oracle Autonumous datawarehouse, its cloud but still i need gateway

This is because Microsoft Power BI team currently does not or cannot support each and every cloud data source. This has to then happen via the gateway in order for it to work and have the right connectivity and in some instances their drivers too.

so you are saying that, oracle fusion applicaiton yet not considered cloud to powerbi, and still need a gateway with 8 refreshes a day rule?
