Hello all,
I encountered one issue with export data into excel, need your advice please.
Issue:
1. The report is published in PBI service and I have a table for raw data dump (which accompany all the fileds from the table). I also have two card visuals that shows the total amount for column A and total amount for column B.
2. When the raw data is exported to excel (it has 24,270 rows) and the total amount on those two columns A & B are not matching with what is there in PBI, and question is why?
3. However, when I look at the total in the power bi visual for Column A vs Card Visual, they match. And same with Column B and the card visual, they match.
Why, when data is exported, those total do not match? It should be simple, exported data should match. Not sure what am I missing here.
Please provide some guidance to this, really urgent.
Sample below from power bi service:
Appreciate your time.
Thanks,
Pthapa

Hi @pthapa ,
As mentioned in the below thread add a index column and see.

Hi @SaiTejaTalasila ,
Appreciate your quick response to this matter however the issue is not with the row limitations because I have 24K rows.
Thanks,

Yes, I added the index to the dataset. For some reason at first attempt data export, total didn't match and I tried again and again, now it is matching with the power bi visual.
Appreciate your advise.
Thanks

Hi @pthapa ,
I think it may be because of export limitations.
The maximum number of rows that Power BI Desktop and Power BI service can export to a .csv file is 30,000.
The maximum number of rows that the applications can export to an .xlsx file is 150,000. The actual number may be lower than 150,000 depending on query limits and visual types.
You can check it for more details -
Thanks,
Sai Teja
