Why Analysis Service Connector is Needed ??
As per the blog/update from Power BI Team given here, if Power BI Personal Gateway refreshes data for both tabular as well as multi-dimensional SSAS model, then why there is a need for Analysis Services Connector ??

The Analysis Services Connector adds capabilities that the Personal Gateway does not have. Specifically, it supports a LIVE connection to the tabular model as well as per user security.
