Who last published a dashboard?

Hi,

is there any way to know who last published a report? In the same way we can see in the worksapace view when was last refreshed and when is next.....
When you are in a team and several people can change the same report, this becomes quite useful if someone is not working with the lates version.

Hi. I'm sorry but you can't do that. There is no way to check who has published on the PowerBi Service UI. I think there are two alternatives.

1- Creating an activity events report. The activity reports is data you can get with the Power Bi Admin Rest API in order to check all the users operations. That way you can see who publish what and when. Of course it has a lot more info, but that's the one you need. Unfortunately you can only get last 30 days of data. So if you want an historic log of data of your users you must build an ETL to insert the data in a storage. Then get it with PowerBi. You can read more about the API here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/admin/get-activity-events

2- Create a work methodology to capture who has checked out or in the development (pbix file) for the last time. You can use a chat with a repo like devops to check if the user has pulled the file, edit the file, push back again. If you create a methology for the team that the last one who push the pbix back was the last one that published the file, you have that info. Usually the repos keep a lot of information regarding that.

I hope that helps,
