Which License do i need?
Hi All,
I'm new here and need you suggestion.
I currently have Power BI Pro license. My org has disabled workspace creation and so i have been publishing and sharing my report in 'My Workspace' only. This report must be shared only with the leads/Heads in my org (dynamic list and hence can't share directly). I usually share the non-sharable link on mail with other details of the report (like updates from last report, etc). But this link can be accessed by anyone when forwarded or copied. I need help on:
- If i get access to create a new workspace can i be able to restrict viewers, collaboraters, analysts roles?
- Else Is there any way i can get the 'provide access' prompt so that i can verify and approve each viewer everytime?
- Further i need atleast 2 or 3 collaborater access to work as my backup for reports.
- My org provide 2 type of premium license Power BI Premium P1 and Power BI Premium P3 (not sure what is what though)
Do i need to upgrade my license to bring deisred result or should i do something else?

1. If you are the creator of the workspace , you can assign any of these roles to users. For specific roles you can refer to the documentation .
2.If you need a prompt, you need to add your account inside the contact list.
3.If you need collaborators, you can add users and set them to the admin role so they can want to operate in workspace as you do.
4. Premium license is a license based on capacity. if you want to create content, you must have Pro license . I have found some documentation that will help you better understand what the license is all about.
