Where is Get Data?
I want to follow the instructions in this link to create alerts: Set data alerts in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Docs The instructions say I need to get the Retail Analysis sample...

Hi automate2create,
I have no idea where the Get Data icon is, but as a workaround to get the sample you can just click new and then upload a file
in the next window just click Samples
