What is best practice for credentials?

Currently our reports which use a Dataflow have my personal OAuth2 organizational credentials.


Is this desirable?


We have a service account that I have the username/password for, but I can't seemingly do that type of credential for a Power BI dataflow. Is it not a bad idea that it's my personal organizational account that's connecting?! A service account is at least more 'generic'.

    Hi there

    Yes you are 100% correct in that having a service account is better in the long term.

    It also means that the Service Account password will not change.
    The Service account details can be documents which will allow for others to know which accounts are used.
