What if Parameter limitation
I want somebody can help me check out the what if parameter limitation, it just a very small range to 1000. To be honest, it is not useful if we have a huge amount like 100,000. Do anybody have ideas that what is the solution can work like what if parameter? I don't think the limitation will be fixed soon as I saw the issue from 2017 till 2021...

Yes you are right, as of now the limitation is 1000 values but it will do self-sampling to limit your data to 1000 values if your dataset exceeds 1000 values

Considerations and limitations
There are a few considerations and limitations for what-if variables to keep in mind.
-
What-if parameters can only be used with value ranges between 0 and 1,000. For ranges greater than 1,000, the parameter value will be sampled.
-
What if parameters are designed for measures within visuals, and may not calculate properly when used in a dimension calculation.

Hi veryokli ,
Refer the below:
enter:2331,return 2328, due to limitation
Change to drop down, the parameter value will not be sampled:

Thank you Lucien,
sorry I just wonder, if I choose "dropdown", there is no option to choose search.... if my value up to 100,000, I think it is not so good for user.. any other suggestions?

Hello Veryokli,
Please find below a GIF of Inforiver Add-on for Power BI that supports a larger dataset for What if Simulation.
I hope this resolves your issue!
