What happened to unassigned lisences?

Hi, i just bought 3 power bi pro lisences and only use 1
may i ask what happened to others 2 if i keep it unassigned? will they expire?

It depends on when you buy, not when you allocate time. So, the purchase of licenses needs to be made by you as per your actual situation .  You will need to renew your subscription if you are purchasing on a monthly basis, then by the next month, you will need to renew your subscription.
