Hi all,
I'm after some information if anyone can help? I'm looking to understand what can affect refresh times in the service.
We are running on Power BI Premium, and have a large model (10's of millions of rows) and the refresh time for this model fluctuates significantly.
For example, the model refreshed yesterday in 1 hour and 30 minutes, but today it has been running for 4 hours and it still hasn't refreshed.
The data source for the model is a mix of dataflows and on-premise SQL server.
Any help / advice would be appreicated.
Thanks
Mike
HI @Anonymous ,
AFAIK, there are a lot of things can affect refresh operations.
For example:
1. System idle resources of devices.(database, gateway client)
2. Network status.
3. Azure data center service.
4. Parallel refresh instances.
BTW, when you use dataflow with other data source to create report. Scheduler refresh will update other datasource and get last data from cached dataflow on power bi service side, it not trigger raw dataflow refresh.
