What SSL certificate will PBI service support for connecting to SQL Server?

We have run into issues with the PBI Service not being able to use an encrypted connection as we use a locally generated certificate.

Do we have to use a public certificate for Power BI Service to recognize it when connecting to an SQL Server, etc?

I can't find any specific details on which SSL certs PBI Service supports to run on SQL Server?

Can you connect to your SQL Server via SSMS sucessfully?
