I have report which I published some time ago. Now I make a few change and I want once again published, but when I publish my desktop version I don't see change in report on web version.
(In desktop I make change on the version I some time ago publish, I don't change name of plik ect)
When I publish new verion with difrent name evrythink is OK.
Has the method of publishing a new version changed?
I linked to the old report. Do I now have to publish the report with a new name and change links everywhere with each change?
Hi @Klasia ,
No method has been changed. If same name exists in the workspace, Power BI desktop will ask you if you want to replace. Once replaced, new changes will get overwritten automatically.
Just make sure you refresh the browser or open in incognito mode after replacing since browser cache affects the dashboard in workspace at times.

@Anand24 Yes, Power BI ask me if I want to replace and I choose yes. But even I refresh report on web I have old version.
Now (what is weird) I delete the old version and published new using the same name for report. Everything was OK. I noticed typo in one column I change in report and published once again and when I open report few hours later I open report and have old version (which I delete).
@Klasia ,
That is pretty weird and does seem like a bug. When you replace, it should simply inherit changes. Do check if you have any scheduled refresh set. Make sure there is no change in data after you publish and before you refresh the dataset in services.
You can do the below things as well:
1. Check in incognito mode - To verify if issue is because of cache
2. Check in another browser - To verify if issue is because of browser
3. Check for another user - To verify if issue is user-specific
4. Check in another workspace - To verify if issue is workspace-specific
Please raise a ticket with MS after researching these so that they can check logs and tell you exact solution.
