Hi - I have a scenario that has just starting happening. I have multiple PowberBI reports that I have scheduled refresh occuring. They have a mix of file & cloud sources. There is a new section called Cloud Connections that I haven't seen before. Anyway I have created connections through the gateway and get the green light message at the top of the data connection table;
I have created connections for the Cloud connections table
But if I refresh I get this error message;
Data source error: {"error":{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error","pbi.error":{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error","parameters":{},"details":[{"code":"Premium_ASWL_Error_Details_Label","detail":{"type":1,"value":"Cloud data source setting is not allowed refresh through gateway."}}],"exceptionCulprit":1}}} Table: Live SSST.

Checked the Gateway settings and the setting should allow the cloud connections

So the solution to this is that there is no solution? 😀
The reality is that there are frequent service changes, and some of these changes break things. Raising a ticket is the fastest way to get these broken things working again.
Actually, I spoken with MS, and the issue is resolved, in general, we need to either set all the connection to Gateway or Cloud, but not both.. so now the 2 entries are move to the Gateway side (I had to created 2 new on-prem connections)
In our case the table/query is mixed with On-prem and Cloud, so the Gateway got confused? I guess. Anyway, it's fixed, hopefully this is helpful to others.
