Web.Contents could not get the content - Error Data Source

 Hello,

I have a problem today when refreshing a dataset in Power BI Service.

This one tells me: Web.Contents could not get the content of 'my.sharepoint.com/sites/xxxxxxx/_api/web/getfilebyserverrelelivivell('/sites/xxxxxxxxx/Documents%20parties/    value '(500): Internal server error The exception was triggered by the IDbCommand interface Table: START.

I have Excel files on Sharepoint where there is new data but have not changed format ...

Whenever I update, the error is not on the same file.

Any ideas ?

Need Help

    Hi Anonymous ,

You may use web connector to connect the excel files in Power BI Desktop.

In your scenario, please firstly go to File->Options and Settings->Data Source Settings->Global permissions in Power BI Desktop and clear permissions for stored SharePoint data source.

Secondly, to connect to Excel that is located under Documents of SharePoint online site, please use the URL below.

    https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>/Shared%20Documents/<Yourexcename>.xlsx

To connect to Excel that is located under a folder in SharePoint online Documents, please use the URL below.

    https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>/Shared%20Documents/<Foldername>/<Yourexcename>.xlsx

However, if you want to connect to SharePoint online folder in Power BI Desktop, please use SharePoint Folder connector and use the URL below, and use organizational account method.

    https://xxxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/<sitename>

    Best Regards,

    Amy

      Hello,

      thank you for your answer,

I tried the 3rd method, but I still have the same error message:

Error OLE DB or ODBC : [DataSource.Error] SharePoint: Request Failed :

      'xxxx.sharepoint.com/sites/arrivee2018_csv/_api/contextinfo.'

      I don't understand where it comes from : _api/contextinfo
