We couldn't export to .pbix format

Showing this error. I am using powerbi Dec 2019 version. Can't export to Power BI Desktop format We couldn't export to .pbix format. Please try again later or contact support. @SiddhantS ,

 

It can happen if your report was created at Power BI Service itself. You can export only reports which were created vis Desktop version and then published.

 

Also, a possible reason can be that file is too big.

 

If that will not cover your case I would recommend to open a support ticket.

Hi @SiddhantS 

 

Searching older posts on this issue there is most likely an issue on the back end. Currently there are no outages or issues on the Power BI Side, however, that doesn't mean that there is not an issue preventing you from exporting your .pbix files.

I'd either try again later or open a support ticket. In my experience they are pretty good at getting back to you in a timly manner. 

 

I'd also ask, don't you have the original .pbix file that was used to publish the one your trying to download?
