Hey I have a weird one for you today 🙂
I have a global report that is composed of data from multiple PBi datamodels. I am getting the data from all these DMs in DirectQuery.
The idea of this global report is to display KPIs from each of these report, and if users want to see more details they can go to the dedicated report.
It's been working fine, until recently, where now users who open this global report and 90% of the visuals are broken. Users have access to all the original reports so they should be able to view the data displayed in this global report.
I've seen that if they open the different reports and then refresh this global report, the data in the visuals suddenly shows.... 😶
Has anyone faced this issue before???
Could it be a memory issue?
Are you able to see the error notification of the broken visuals?
There could be alot of reasons why visuals are broken,eg compute/access/missing data. If you click on of the error, you should be able to get more info, and start troubleshooting from there.
Hey , all visuals appear broken, if I click on "See details", this is what I get:

Like I said in my original message, if now the user navigate to the dedicated pbi report (from where I use data for some of my visuals) and then refreshes this global report the data will show in the concerned visuals. I did not change anything in the permissions in the meantime. Then if, the user navigate to another report, again, data will show upon refresh.
It is as if the data needs to be loaded in the original DM report first...
