Visualizations available for SharePoint list reports in PowerBI service
Hi guys!
I recently became aware of the possibility to create reports directly from a SharePoint list:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/create-reports/service-quick-create-sharepoint-list
Many thanks for providing this option!
Questions now:
Is it correct that these reports are currently restricted to the standard visualizations?
So that it's not possible to import additional types of visualizations?
If this is the case, are you planning to "unlock" this option? If so, when approximately?
In the meantime, what sort of "workaround" would you suggest if I need special visualizations not yet available for this type of report?
Does it mean I have to stick to PowerBI Desktop for this? 😕

Hi , Shabigon
Not sure about this time. But you can post your needs on the Ideas forum and vote for it. Maybe in the near future, Microsoft will update this feature .

Hi Shabigon
When you click visualize the list in Microsoft lists , you will be taken to the Power BI page where you can edit your visual . However, it is limited to the visual provided in the visual pane, and currently does not support importing custom visuals.
When you edit the visual in report and publish to the list ,you can see the report in Microsoft Lists . This report is equivalent to a page embedded in Microsoft Lists, which is a built-in function of Microsoft Lists .

Dear Anonymous
Many thanks for the explanation!
One more question:
When will custom visuals be supported? Is there a rough timeline for this?
Thanks!

Sorry to blatantly "bump up" my thread, but I'd very much appreciate some guidance here.
