Visualization Discrepancy in Power BI Service (Differences Between Report Owner and User Views)

Hello,

I'm experiencing an issue in Power BI Service. It seems there's a discrepancy between how the report appears for me (as the report owner) versus how it appears for other users. I've creatively designed sensitivity tables for valuation purposes using a data matrix and shapes to conceal parts of the tables. On my end, the layout looks correct, as shown in the first screenshot, but for users, the design appears broken (see the second screenshot).

Do you have any idea what might be causing this and how to resolve it?

Thank you!

Hi @matt1122 ,

It seems the issue may be due to a few factors that can affect how reports render in Power BI Service:

  1. Screen Resolution or Browser Settings: Differences in screen resolution or browser zoom between your setup and users could cause layout issues. Recommend checking browser zoom settings and screen resolution.

  2. Browser Compatibility: Layout issues might arise due to browser differences. Ensure users are using supported browsers (preferably the latest versions of Chrome or Edge).

  3. Shape and Object Layering: If you're using shapes to conceal parts of the table, these could render differently on other users' devices. Shapes may not align properly, depending on screen size or resolution.

  4. Responsive Layout: Power BI might not render custom layouts correctly on different devices. Consider simplifying the layout for better responsiveness.
