Visual interactions - Desktop good, web service not working

Numerous posts from 2016 regarding this issue, and it seems to have struck me yesterday.  I have two simple table visuals on a single report.  The first table is a summary of the second table, where details are displayed.  Clicking on any line item in the summary works on the desktop, selecting only those details in the second table that belong to that line item.  In the web service, the second table goes blank instead of returning related rows. This is using Direct Query mode against an Oracle database.  PBI Desktop version is April 2018.  Help?

Hi @FredTheFrog,

Would you please re-publish the report to service for a test? Also, view the report on service with a different browser to see if it works.

Boss actually prefers the horizontal buttons / slicer as more intuitive than cross-filtering the two tables.  Disabling the interactions between the two tables prevents users from mistakenly clicking on them and confusing themselves.

@FredTheFrog , Try doing a check for the gateway and see how the newtork health is for the server. Also that is the data volume?

Gateway health is extremely good and very reliable.  Data volume is only hundreds of data rows, nothing large at all.  I worked around the issue by placing a Slicer atop the screen.  It's actually more intuitive than clicking on the lines in a table visual, so I personally like it.  Whether or not the boss accepts it is anyone's guess.
