Visual has exceeded the available resources, but nothing has changed

Started getting this error late afternoon on 11/30/23, but literally nothing has changed in the report or dataset and it was working fine earlier in the day.

The visual in question is a table with around 15 columns, most are not measures, just fields directly from a table. The few that are measures are very simple calculate(sum()) type measures.

Has anyone come across this issue before? I'm even getting this issue in PBI desktop with a much smaller dataset (23k rows). Could this just be a Microsoft issue?

Yes, the issue occurs when a visual has attempted to query too much data for the server to complete the result with the available resources.

As suggested in the error, you may need to try filtering the visual to reduce the amount of data in the result currentl
