Visual has exceeded available resources

Hi,

I'm having problems getting a visual to display properly in the Service, where it's fine on desktop.

Now, I understand that it's a very large amount of data that the visual is trying to display.

The visual will display as broken with the text "Visual has exceeded available resources"

My question is - would having Power BI premium be a resolution to this?

We're currently trying to provide a compelling reason for purchasing it to the decision makers in our company and want to be sure we're selling it to them as a solution for the right reasons!

Hi @VinnyH ,

The error occurs when a visual attempts to query too much data for the server to complete the result with the available resources.  You may need to filter the visual to reduce the amount of data in the result currently. That way, the error might be resolved.

We have had several of our reports (running for over a year) start failing with the same error this week.  Apparently the latest upgrade pushed out this week changed a resource limit of some kind.  We just have Power BI Pro.

Also of note, the mobile reports hit the resource limit way before the desktop version.
