View of a User shooting up

Hi all,

I hope you are all well. We have a Power BI dashboard that is published to the online services. When checking the Usage Metric report I saw that one of the users views has spiked up to more than 17,000 within 4 days. Normally, we get an approximately 30 views per user. As of now we are not really sure of what happened but when I asked the user he mentioned that it is probably because he left his computer open at his home with the dashboard open. But the computer goes on sleep if that's open and inactive for too long.

Has anyone ever experienced an issue like this? Also, is it possible that someone hacked into his account and is viewing our report?
Is there a way I can see if his account has been hacked or any way for me to investigate this anomaly.

To be safe, change their password, but that really shouldn't be necessary, because you are mandating 2 factor authentication, right?

As for investigating, you should consult with an Office 365 security specialist. That is a tenant thing, not particular to Power BI or any other Office 365 service.

I've asked the user to change their password even though we have 2FA.

I'll raise a ticket to microsoft in this regard.
