To your question of creating a Venn diagram, it does seem to be somewhat challenging.

Based on the information you provided, you have two tables, course information for 2023 and 2024.

First you need to adjust the tables so they look like this:

Launch Power BI and select New Report from the Home tab.

Select the Venn Diagram visual from the Visualization pane on the right side of the window. If you don't see it, you may need to download it from the market.

Drag and drop the dataset into the appropriate field (usually labeled Category, Count, or Value).

Adjust the size and position of the circles as needed to create the desired overlaps and intersections.

Customize the colors and labels of your Venn diagram in Power BI using the Format tab on the right side of the window. You can also add interactivity and animation to your Venn diagram using the Animation and Interaction options under the Format tab.

To filter a table based on selections in a Venn diagram, you need to create a relationship between the table and the Venn diagram. To do this, go to the Modeling tab and select Manage Relationships. Then, create a new relationship between the table and the Venn diagram using a common field (such as course name or code).

Once the relationship is established, you can use the Edit Interaction options under the Format tab to control how the table is filtered when you click on the Venn diagram. You can choose to highlight, filter or cross-filter the table according to your preference.
