VNet data gateway and paginated reports

Hi,

We are implementing and evaluating both on-premise data gateway and virtual network data gateway. What we have observed is that when we create a dataset in Power BI Desktop and publish it to Power BI, it will pick up both gateways when we go to the settings page.

However, paginated reports created using Power BI Report Builder will only see the on-premise data gateway.

The dataset and the paginated report are both in the same Premium workspace, and I doublechecked to make sure I am using the current version of Report Builder. Is VNet gateway something that is yet to be implemented in paginated reports?

Thanks.

As shown in the screenshot, the reason may be that this feature is available only for Power BI dataset. So I suggest you connect paginated report to Power BI dataset, then select VNet data gateway for this dataset. Take a try, hope it helps!
